KFDC Celebrates 8 Local Arts Groups Changing the Bay Area

Berkeley Folk Dancers is honored to be selected as one of 8 lesser known Bay Area non-profit art organizations featured in the Classical KDFC Neighborhood Arts Spotlight the week of September 4th through the 10th! Other awardees include the Golden Gate Opera in Marin County, Vallejo Symphony, San Francisco Women Artists, and others. The Berkeley Folk Dancers will also be included in a Neighborhood Arts Spotlight position in one of KDFC’s September Classical eNotes email newsletter.

The Berkeley Folk Dancers has been active for over seventy years! It is a group of nearly 200 people of all ages who enjoy doing a variety of folk dances at all skill levels.

KDFC is a non-commercial radio station in San Francisco, California, which broadcasts a classical music format. It is owned by the University of Southern California. KDFC is the radio home of the San Francisco Symphony and the San Francisco Opera.
