Ketri Ketri – Sherianqe (Albania)



Ketri Ketri (KEH-tree KEH-tree) is a contemporary Gypsy song sung in Rom, the Gypsy language, by Kalyi Jag, a popular Gypsy ensemble living in Hungary. The dance was introducedbly.Steve Kotansky at Mendocino Folklore Camp, ’91, and Stockton Camp, ’94. The steps are based on a slow Coeek of the eriance or Itupurlika type, popular in urban areas of the Southern Balkans, i.e., Macedonia and South Serbia.
