Alissa Tsekva (Georgia)


Choreographed by Baykal Doğan, but introduced to the US by Roberto Bagnoli. Also taught by Tineke and Maurits van Geel. Alissa is Baykal’s daughter’s name. There is some confusion about the word Tsekva (“dance”) because the widely distributed distributed by Roberto had a typo in them (Tsevka instead of Tsekva), Tsek’va is in fact the correct Georgian word for “dance.” Dance notes…
