Dance Calendar goes AWOL

After nine years of faithful time keeping the dance events around us on schedule our dance calendar has decided to take a vacation, without notice. We hope to get the calendar back to his job soon, as soon as we find him.

Actually, the answer is more technical. Our web server needs to grow a bit more in RAM to keep him functioning otherwise the whole folkdance.com web site also goes down repeatedly trying to start a calendar access process that cannot be completed, is aborted, and memory not cleaned up. We are looking into getting a more reasonable server with modern specifications working soon so our calendar will be working again with the rest of the system. If we wanted to reduce the size of the calendar for old event listings that would help reduce the memory footprint, however we still need more memory on the server to do that.

Trust us, the calendar will be back soon…
