Sunnyvale Israeli Dance
Israeli dances date from the 1940s, but the bulk of the dances played in this session are from 1975 to now, with occasional older material. We dance on a large, high-ceiling social hall with a wood floor (see photo) that is heated in the winter and air-conditioned in the summer.
Refreshments include hot coffee/tea/chocolate, lemonade, popcorn, cookies, occasional produce from local trees and contributed by dancers.
Attendance varies from 70-95 dancers; 60% women, 40% men. Average age about 50; age range from early 20s to late-80s. 50% Israelis living in the U.S.; 50% non-Israelis.
$10 ($8 for Sunnyvale residents) No charge for non-dancers and children. Discounts and scholarships available. Your first visit is FREE! No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
