Concert

The SAFDF concerts showcase the beautiful talent and energy of local performing folk dance groups, plus special guests from further away. These performances, together with the fabulous ambiance and professional stage of OLLU’s Thiry Auditorium, combine for an unforgettable evening of music, song, and dance. In 2020, we are proud to showcase the following groups:

  • Alamotion Dance Troupe (San Antonio, TX)
  • Fandango Dance Troupe (San Antonio, TX)
  • Levendia Greek Dance Troupe (Austin, TX)
  • Bulgarka, Bulgarians of Texas
  • Faisan Folklorico (San Antonio, TX)
  • Csárdás Hungarian Dancers (Austin, TX)
  • Karilagan Philippine Cultural Group (San Antonio, TX)
  • Samba Vida Drum & Dance Company (San Antonio, TX)

Dance Parties

Festival evenings culminate in parties featuring folk dance favorites that keep everyone, from complete beginners to seasoned veterans, dancing for hours. This year we’re delighted to feature live music by HOMEGROWN at the Saturday-night party and country-western DJ music at the Friday-night party. And there’s great food too!
