Folk Dance Party with Kabilé
Join the Kopachka Folk Dancers for a special live music dance party to the Bulgarian music of Kabilé!
Kabilé
Masters of traditional folk from Bulgarian Thrace! Kabilé is named for the village in central Bulgaria where they first performed. They have become widely known for the bitov (traditional) style and highly-enjoyable melodies! Kabilé’s members are all life-long, professionally-trained musicians with decades of teaching and performing experience.
Kabilé is Donka Koleva (vocals), Nikolay Kolev (gadulka/ folk fiddle), Dzhenko Andreev (gajda/bagpipe), Nikolay Doktorov (kaval/ end-blown wooden flute), and Ivan Handzhiev (accordion and vocals).
