Balkan Chili Trio
The Balkan Chili Trio plays authentic Bulgarian dance music from all regions of Bulgaria. The goal of the musicians is to preserve and recreate the authentic sound of Bulgarian national music, as it was played in working-bees, and round dances in town squares and celebrations. Performances include vocals, Jura & Kaba gaidas (bagpipes), keyboards, tupan (drum), and accordion. Members of the band have graduated from prestigious Bulgarian music and dance institutes and are multi-instrumentalists. They perform extensively in Bulgaria and worldwide for weddings or other celebrations while maintaining busy teaching careers in their home town, abroad, and thru the internet. Read more…
